- Social Justice and Equity. – WOCSO organization will work with other NGOs to promote equality, dignity and a more just society, especially with regard to the poor and the marginalized
- Gender and Diversity – WOCSO organization will work towards and promote respect for gender equality and diversity. The organization will at all time work towards the achievement of equity and gender parity in the designing of policies, programmes and in the allocation of resources.
- Autonomy – The organization will strive for and safeguard the rights for NGOs to exist and to be independent at all times.
- Accountability – WOCSO will hold itself and its members accountable to the highest level of ethical behavior and responsibility for its actions, while maintaining integrity in its performance.
- Collective Action and Responsibility – The organization will be guided by its Mission and Vision, strive to promote joint action, cooperation and solidarity among its members.
- Unity in Diversity - WOCSO will promote unity amongst NGOs while celebrating, respecting, recognizing, and preserving diversity in the NGO sector.
- Self-sufficiency - The organization will work towards the achievement of sustainable development outcomes.
- Transparency - WOCSO shall at all times uphold full openness to its members, beneficiaries and partners, with respect to its processes, operations, actions and outcomes.
- Fair Dealing - The organization is committed to the value of fair dealing and will not be party to exploitative arrangements that do not take cognizance of this value and that do not respect the rights of all parties and their target communities.
- Participation - WOCSO shall at all times aspire towards full, equal and meaningful involvement of its members and beneficiaries in the designing, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the organization’s policies and programmes, at all levels of decision making.
- Voluntarism and Service above Self - The organization shall at all times expect its members and employees to be primarily motivated by a compulsion and commitment to uphold human rights and a philanthropic spirit to serve the under privileged and not their own interests, financial or otherwise.
